23 Luxury Cars, Approximately 300 Designer Watches and Bags

Paetongtarn Chinnawath, daughter of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and the youngest prime minister in Thailand's history, is reported to have assets worth 590 billion won.

According to major foreign media including AFP on the 3rd, Prime Minister Paetongtarn declared assets worth 13.84 billion baht (approximately 590.3 billion won) to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) of Thailand. Her husband, Pitaka Suksawat, has assets worth 141.11 million baht (about 6 billion won).

The couple owns overseas real estate including two houses in London, UK, and two plots of land in Hokkaido, Japan. In Thailand, they own five condominiums and a house in Bangkok, as well as commercial buildings in Phetchaburi.

They also possess numerous luxury items such as vehicles, watches, and bags. Prime Minister Paetongtarn reported owning 23 vehicles including a Bentley worth 452.52 million won and a Rolls-Royce valued at about 286.1 million won. She also owns 75 luxury watches worth 6.9 billion won and 217 high-end bags valued at 3.3 billion won.

The couple's debt is also substantial. Their liabilities amount to approximately 5 billion baht (213.5 billion won), making their net assets around 8.9 billion baht (379.5 billion won).

Paetongtarn is the youngest daughter of Thaksin, a telecommunications tycoon who served as prime minister from 2001 to 2006. She is one of the most influential politicians in Thailand and effectively controls the current ruling party, Pheu Thai Party, where she serves as party leader.

Paetongtarn became prime minister at the age of 37 in August last year after the Constitutional Court's dismissal of former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin. Before entering politics in 2021, she managed family-owned real estate and hotel businesses.
