Attempt to Execute Arrest Warrant for Yoon Leads to Large Rally Near Residence... Evening Commute Disrupted

On the 3rd, a large-scale rally was held near the Yongsan-gu Hannam-dong presidential residence, where a crowd gathered and congestion occurred as the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Department attempted to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk-yeol, causing traffic jams during the evening commute.

The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) held an expanded executive resolution meeting near Hangangjin Station after the execution of the arrest warrant was halted, announcing a 1-night, 2-day overnight protest.

After the resolution meeting, the KCTU marched to Hannam Elementary School near the entrance of the presidential residence, occupying the lanes and demanding the immediate arrest of President Yoon.

During this process, the police issued four dispersal orders, stating that the KCTU was holding an unauthorized rally.

As a result, lanes were temporarily blocked, causing city buses to detour and vehicles to crawl at a snail's pace.

Currently, three lanes from Hannam 2 Overpass to Hannam Five-way Intersection are closed, and the road from Namsan No.1 Tunnel toward Toegye 2-ga is also fully closed.
