Lotte Mart announced on the 5th that sales of 'nut gift sets' from the first pre-order sale day for Lunar New Year, which was from the 12th of last month to the 2nd of this month, increased by about 25% compared to the same pre-order period last year. In particular, nut gift sets priced under 30,000 KRW, known for their cost-effectiveness (performance relative to price), showed remarkable growth.

Lotte Mart explained that this is interpreted as a reflection of both the growing interest in health foods due to aging population and the demand from customers seeking cost-effective options during the high inflation period.

Compared to last year's Lunar New Year pre-orders, Lotte Mart increased the number of nut gift set items by 50% and prepared about 120,000 sets, a 30% increase in volume. To do this, they signed advance contracts with partners starting from October last year, before the raw nut prices rose significantly.

As a representative nut gift set, 'Maeil Nuts Haruhanjum 80 packs' is sold to L.Point members at a discounted price of 29,900 KRW, reduced by 20,000 KRW. This gift set ranks first in total sales among nut gift sets and is very popular because it is conveniently packaged in small portions, making it easy to eat as a snack substitute for one meal. Additionally, 'The Rich Macadamia Maeil Nuts (50 packs)' is sold to L.Point members for 29,900 KRW, and 'Nuts Box Maeil Nuts Set (20 packs)' is offered as a 1+1 deal for 19,900 KRW.
