The Presidential Security Service stated on the 3rd, "We deeply regret that the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office and the National Investigation Headquarters, without any legal grounds, mobilized police riot squads to break through the entrance doors of the security zone and military confidential facilities without the facility manager's permission, even causing injuries to personnel on duty, and unlawfully trespassed."
In a statement released that afternoon, the Presidential Security Service said, "We will hold the responsible parties and related individuals accountable through legal measures for their illegal actions."
It added, "As has been the case with all previous administrations, the Presidential Security Service will continue to carry out its security duties for protected individuals thoroughly in accordance with laws and principles."
The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office attempted to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol that morning but was blocked by the Presidential Security Service, resulting in failure.
At around 1:36 p.m., the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office informed the press corps, "Due to the ongoing standoff, we judged that executing the arrest warrant was practically impossible, and concerned about the safety of personnel on site due to obstruction, we ceased the execution around 1:30 p.m."
