Choi Jinwoong, Who Joined K League 2, Donates Development Fund to Alma Mater Gwangju University

Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) announced on the 3rd that Choi Jinwoong, a former member of the university's soccer team who recently joined K League 2 club Cheonan City FC, has generously donated 10 million KRW to his alma mater's development fund.

During the donation ceremony held that morning in the reception room on the 6th floor of the Gwangju University Administration Building, Choi presented the development fund pledge to President Kim Dongjin.

President Kim Dongjin said, "All members of the university will wholeheartedly support Choi Jinwoong, who made an early professional debut while still a student, in his future endeavors," and added, "Following in the footsteps of Gwangju University alumni such as Cho Guesung (FC Midtjylland, Denmark) and Kim Bongsu (Gimcheon Sangmu), I hope he will grow into an outstanding player and further enhance the reputation of Gwangju University, renowned for its soccer program."

Choi shared his aspirations, saying, "I am truly delighted to join a team with such a bright future. I will always keep in mind the various skills and mindset I learned from Coach Lee Seungwon at Gwangju University, focus on honing my abilities, and do my best to contribute to my team and elevate the prestige of Gwangju University."
