This evaluation was conducted on 134 emergency medical institutions nationwide, based on 8 categories and 17 indicators including safety, effectiveness, timeliness, functionality, and publicness.

Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital ranked among the top nationwide in all evaluation indicators, proving its capacity for treating severe emergency diseases representing northern Gyeonggi Province.

In particular, it ranked first nationwide in indicators such as the rate of direct specialist treatment within the appropriate time, reliability level of patient classification, final treatment provision rate, dedicated nurses, bed saturation index, and length of stay for patients with severe diseases.

Director Song Hyun stated, “We will continue to expand specialist-centered medical personnel and infrastructure and strengthen the severe and emergency treatment system,” adding, “We will take responsibility for essential medical care in northern Gyeonggi, including Uijeongbu.”

Meanwhile, Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital was designated as the Northern Gyeonggi Regional Emergency Medical Center by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in December last year, and is making efforts to protect the golden time for severe emergency diseases by participating in the pilot project for the Northeast Gyeonggi Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Network medical institution.
