Yeongyang-gun, Starting the New Year with Warm Sharing

The Farm Housewives Association Yeongyang County Federation consists of 286 members from 6 towns and townships. It is an organization where women farmers cooperate to invigorate rural life, motivate advanced farming activities, and strive to enhance the status and rights of women farmers. They continuously carry out various volunteer activities such as urban-rural exchange projects, helping neighbors in need, and assisting with farm labor.

This donation was made up of 1 million won from the proceeds of the 'Love Rice Cake Soup Rice Cake' sales event held in December last year to support vulnerable groups, plus 500,000 won from the personal funds of Chairwoman Lee Hee-su to participate in spreading a culture of sharing.

Chairwoman Lee Hee-su said, "It is very meaningful to be able to donate the proceeds from the event, which was carried out with one heart and one mind with the members, to a good cause," and added, "We will continue to take the lead in helping neighbors in need in the local community together with the members."

County Governor Oh Do-chang said, "Thank you for practicing sharing for neighbors in need from the beginning of the new year of Eulsa," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that the generous hearts you shared are used well where help is needed."
