Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 3rd that the 8300 intercity bus operating between Yangju Deokjeong and Namyangju Byeollae Station will start running from the 13th.
The new route 8300 was finally selected in the Gyeonggi-do public bus route review in June last year. It connects Yangju Deokjeong Station, Okjeong New Town, Goeup District, and Byeollae Station Transfer Center. Six vehicles will operate 35 trips at intervals of 20 to 40 minutes.
By using this route to Byeollae Station, passengers can transfer to Line 8, which opened last August, allowing early access to Jamsil and Gangdong-gu. In the future, when the GTX-B line opens, it is expected to provide easy access to the western Seoul area and Incheon.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju said, “The new route 8300 can replace the G1300, which was difficult to board due to full buses during rush hours. If a new route to Jamsil opens in the first half of this year, accessibility to Seoul is expected to improve significantly.” He added, “Yangju is the city with the highest population growth rate, so continuous expansion of intercity transportation is necessary. We will continue to strive to improve intercity transportation so that citizens can feel the benefits.”
