The Urban Safety Information Center of Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 3rd that it conducted a comprehensive inspection of security CCTV cameras, prioritizing the safety of citizens during the year-end and New Year period. This inspection was carried out to verify the proper operation of security CCTV facilities installed throughout Yeoju City and to improve the monitoring environment to prevent incidents and accidents in advance.

The Urban Safety Information Center of Yeoju City visually inspected key facilities such as CCTV cameras, poles, and enclosures, and tested the operation of emergency bells during the approximately one-week inspection conducted from December 23 to 30. In addition, obstacles that could obstruct the CCTV’s view, such as tree branches, spider webs, and dust, were removed, and the surrounding environment was maintained to enhance monitoring efficiency.
Kim Yeon-seok, Director of Citizen Safety at Yeoju City, said, “We have done our best through this inspection to ensure that citizens can spend the year-end and New Year period more safely,” adding, “We will continue to create a safe community through ongoing inspections and management.”
Yeoju City expects that this inspection will increase the reliability of the security system and contribute to the prevention of incidents and accidents as well as the enhancement of citizens’ sense of safety. The city plans to further strengthen the community safety network through regular inspections in the future.
