This project is aimed at building a public-type local children's center by utilizing land near railway stations.
The space near Baegyangsa Station, which was selected for the project, has a building area of 200 square meters, and the entire construction cost of 1.3 billion KRW will be provided by the Korea Rail Network Authority.
The county plans to soon sign a business agreement with the Authority and begin full-scale construction.
Previously, in 2023, Baegyangsa Station was also selected for the Kids Rail Daycare Center project for the first time in Jeollanam-do.
County Governor Kim Hanjong said, "We expect that the Baegyangsa Station Kids Rail Daycare Center, which opens this year, and the public-type local children's center scheduled for completion around 2028, will help alleviate childcare concerns for residents in the northern area."
