<크레오에스지>, Partners with Japan's Top Rakuten Beauty Company... "Securing Japanese Market for Anti-Aging and Muscle Growth Health Supplements"

CreoSG announced on the 3rd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Japanese cosmetics specialist company ‘Elumild’ to advance the Japanese business of anti-aging and muscle growth health functional food (HFF) products utilizing CAF. Based on the MOU, both companies plan to officially start sales after launching CAF-based HFF products in Japan.

This MOU grants Elumild the priority supply rights for CreoSG’s CAF-based HFF product ‘MUSCLO’ in Japan and aims to enter the Japanese market. After testing, the two companies will sign a formal contract in the first half of the year and begin product sales through online markets such as Amazon Japan, with plans to expand MUSCLO supply to offline distribution channels in the second half of the year.

Elumild is a cosmetics subsidiary of ‘FIDIA Inc.’, a business holding company ranked 14th in Japan’s corporate rankings as of 2023. FIDIA operates various businesses including advertising, media, and telecommunications through about 10 affiliated companies. Elumild sells its OEM-produced brand products on platforms like Amazon and Rakuten, notably ranking first in beauty products on Rakuten.

CreoSG recently secured global business rights for MUSCLO from the natural products specialist company ‘Hepatol’ and is advancing its HFF business. MUSCLO demonstrated increased skeletal muscle and bone density effects through a one-month clinical trial targeting the elderly, and it is characterized by the absence of side effects commonly seen in existing protein drinks. Besides muscle growth, it can maximize exercise performance improvement and recovery effects, making it possible to target the energy drink market as well.

CreoSG will supply MUSCLO in the forms of beverages, powders, and films, with plans to launch the product in China, Southeast Asia, and the Korean market early next month. The company expects sales in the HFF business sector to exceed 10 billion KRW this year, establishing a stable growth foundation.

A CreoSG representative stated, “Based on the global business rights for MUSCLO recently acquired from Hepatol, we decided to enter Japan as our first overseas market. Elumild is a cosmetics subsidiary of a major Japanese corporation with local online and offline distribution networks and strong competitiveness in product marketing, which led to the signing of this MOU.”

He added, “After market testing in the first quarter, we plan to start product sales on major Japanese online malls from the first half of the year. Given the high demand for protein drinks and energy drinks in Japan, we expect rapid sales growth.”

According to the global market research firm ‘Global Information,’ the global energy drink market is projected to reach $73.9 billion (approximately 108 trillion KRW) by 2030. The Japanese market research agency ‘Fuji Keizai’ reports that the Japanese protein food market has expanded at an average annual rate of 17% over the past 10 years and was estimated at 258 billion yen (approximately 2 trillion KRW) as of 2023.
