The eligibility criteria for Yeongwol-gun Youth Housing applicants include youths aged 18 to 39 and newlyweds as of the announcement date, residents of Yeongwol-gun or outsiders who can move in immediately upon tenancy, and those who are members of a household without a home and meet certain income and asset ownership standards.
Yeongwol-gun will select tenants by May 16, 2025, after verifying applicants’ home ownership status and income and asset inquiries, and plans to begin public rental housing occupancy from August 4, 2025.
Yeongwol-gun Youth Housing will be supplied at affordable rental conditions ranging from 35 to 90 percent or less of the surrounding market price depending on the tenant’s income level, which is expected to significantly alleviate the housing cost burden on the younger generation and contribute greatly to improving residential conditions.
A Yeongwol-gun official stated, “Since the tenant recruitment announcement, many people have shown interest and made inquiry calls, and we aim to contribute to the influx of young population through the supply of public rental housing.”
