About 150 executives and employees, including Son Jae-il, CEO of Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems, and Eo Seong-cheol, President and Head of Hanwha Ocean's Special Ship Business Division, attended the New Year's memorial service held at the National Seoul Memorial Cemetery in Dongjak-gu, Seoul.
After the memorial service, CEO Son wrote in the guestbook, "As we welcome the new year of Eulsa, I deeply engrave the noble spirit of the patriotic martyrs and war heroes in my heart," reflecting on its significance.
Since 2011, Hanwha's defense affiliates have started their new year’s work on the first day of the year with a spirit of 'dedication to the country,' honoring the patriotic martyrs and war heroes who devoted themselves to the nation.
A Hanwha Aerospace official stated, "This year as well, with the original intention of serving the country through business, we will strive to leap forward as a global defense company, contribute to South Korea's self-reliant national defense, and make our best efforts to discover future growth engines."
