"Domestic Headquarters to Efficiently Support Overseas Subsidiaries"

SPC Group has reorganized its global business structure to strengthen its overseas operations.

On the 3rd, SPC Group announced that it will establish and operate the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) headquarters within the global organization of Paris Baguette.

The AMEA headquarters will oversee not only the Southeast Asian region where business is currently being operated but also the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania regions where new market entry is being prepared. Hana Lee, who previously managed Southeast Asia, has become the CEO of the AMEA headquarters. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position is held by Executive Director Tae-hwan Moon.

SPC Group made this personnel appointment ahead of the completion of the Johor Bahru bakery factory in Malaysia, scheduled to be fully operational early this year. The factory is being built in accordance with halal certification standards. Consequently, products can be supplied not only to Southeast Asian countries but also to Islamic countries in the Middle East and Africa. This move is interpreted as deploying experienced local managers to target the global halal food market, which is valued at 2 trillion dollars.

Prior to this, SPC Group also reorganized the Paris Baguette America headquarters in 2024. While Darren Tipton has been serving as CEO since 2021, Nick Scaccio was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO), Cathy Shabnet as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Eric Galkin as Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO), Se-yong Park as CFO, and Michelle Zagroup as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

SPC Group is also promoting the construction of a local production plant in Burleson, Texas, USA, and the America headquarters plans to expand its business to Central and South America, focusing on the United States and Canada.

Additionally, SPC Group operates a ‘Global Support Office’ in Korea to strengthen communication between the Paris Baguette domestic headquarters and overseas subsidiaries and to support faster decision-making processes. Executive Director Il-won Seo is in charge of this office.

An SPC Group official stated, “This organizational restructuring was carried out to localize global business by expanding the responsibilities and authority of each regional headquarters overseas and to enable the domestic headquarters to support overseas subsidiaries more effectively.”

Paris Baguette currently operates in a total of 14 countries including the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, with over 630 stores. The goal is to reach 12,000 stores by 2030.
