KT announced on the 3rd that it has been selected as an excellent business operator for voluntary resolution of consumer complaints by the Korea Consumer Agency for two consecutive years.

At the award ceremony for excellent business operators in consumer complaint resolution held at the Korea Consumer Agency headquarters the day before, KT was selected as the excellent business operator in the telecommunications sector for 2025.


The Korea Consumer Agency selects excellent business operators based on factors such as proactiveness in resolving consumer complaints, the proportion of consumer inquiries received by the agency that the business operator has voluntarily resolved, and participation in the Consumer Complaint Resolution Business Council.


KT is leading voluntary resolution by analyzing complaints submitted by consumers and resolving them promptly. In particular, to prevent customer damage and protect users, KT is enhancing its Sales Quality Management System (SQMS) using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to strengthen pre-monitoring of abnormal sales activities.


To protect customers from various phishing crimes, KT has developed and provides solutions such as the "AI Clean Message Service (spam and smishing prevention)," "Safe QR Service (quishing prevention)," and "Real-time AI Voice Phishing Detection and Alert Service."


Lee Byung-moo, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of AX Innovation Support Division in KT’s Customer Division, said, "KT will actively utilize AI functions to proactively protect customers and make greater efforts so that customers can use telecommunication services with peace of mind."
