Selection of Outstanding Public Officials Actively Contributing to Resolving Resident Inconveniences and Advancing District Administration
Awarding Selected Outstanding Public Officials with District Mayor Commendations and Various Benefits
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) has selected five exemplary public officials who have performed their duties creatively and proactively to resolve residents' inconveniences and promote district development.
The selection process involved recommendations of outstanding proactive public officials from residents and staff, followed by preliminary evaluations on residents' perception, officials' proactiveness, creativity, and expertise, and a final review by the personnel committee.
The Excellence Award recipients are Kim Young-jun, administrative officer of the Education Support Division; Kim Soo-young, administrative officer of the Welfare Policy Division; and Kim Ji-yeon, administrative officer of the Housing Improvement Division.
Administrative officer Kim Young-jun laid the groundwork for the Astronomy Science Center construction project by collaborating with Seoul City to resolve land exchange issues and successfully leading consultations with the Urban Park Subcommittee and reviews by the Shared Property Committee. The project aims to complete detailed design by 2025 and accelerate construction for completion in the second half of 2026.
Administrative officer Kim Soo-young developed the Jungnang-type welfare brand 'Jungnang Donghaeng Sarangnet,' establishing a mutual support system among the 400,000 residents under the concept of '400,000 residents helping 400,000 residents.' The initiative laid the foundation for revitalizing the welfare community focusing on five key areas: donations, network formation, talent sharing, health, and education.
Administrative officer Kim Ji-yeon prepared a redevelopment plan amendment for Mangwoo 1 District, which had been stalled for a long time due to lack of feasibility, and successfully passed the Seoul City review. This significantly improved project feasibility by increasing floor area ratio, maximum number of floors, and number of households, enabling swift project advancement.
The Encouragement Award went to Lee Sang-wook, Fashion Sewing Team Leader of the Corporate Support Division, who contributed to revitalizing the local fashion sewing industry by promoting the establishment of the Jungnang Fashion Support Center, and Jeon Hee-ryeong, administrative officer of the Hygiene Division, who proactively introduced the Jungnang-gu Social Welfare Meal Management Support Center to actively support hygiene safety and balanced nutrition management for vulnerable groups such as the elderly and disabled.
The selected outstanding public officials were awarded the Mayor's Commendation along with exceptional benefits including S-grade performance bonuses and priority selection for resort facilities.
Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi of Jungnang-gu expressed, "I thank the staff who have worked hard to understand and improve residents' inconveniences with a proactive attitude and to contribute to the district's development," adding, "We will continue to strive together to spread a culture of proactive administration where all employees can perform their duties with an active and creative mindset."
