Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for the ‘Nonprofit Private Organization Public Interest Activity Support Project’ until the 24th, aimed at supporting the voluntary growth of nonprofit private organizations and promoting public interest activities. Selected organizations can receive project funding ranging from a minimum of 5 million KRW to a maximum of 30 million KRW.
The eligible applicants are nonprofit private organizations registered in Gyeonggi Province as of the announcement date (January 3rd).
The support project covers seven areas: ▲ Development of civil society and social integration ▲ Realization of innovative economy and fair society ▲ Peace cooperation and national security ▲ Social welfare ▲ Culture, tourism, and sports promotion ▲ Environmental conservation and resource saving ▲ Transportation and safety.
Organizations wishing to participate in the project can submit their applications online through the Local Subsidy System (Botaem e, www.losims.go.kr).
The Gyeonggi Province Public Interest Project Selection Committee will evaluate and review applications based on criteria including organizational capacity (20 points), project content (70 points), and budget feasibility (10 points), and will select the final organizations by the end of March. High-ranking excellent organizations from the previous year’s project evaluation may receive additional points. To ensure fair support opportunities for new organizations, those selected for Gyeonggi public interest projects for 3 to 4 consecutive years in recent years will receive a 3-point deduction.
Additionally, organizations that have received support for 5 consecutive years will be mandatorily excluded from eligibility for one year. However, they will be eligible to apply the following year.
A Gyeonggi Province official stated, "We will provide opportunities for citizens to participate in various fields and foster an environment for strengthening the capabilities and cooperation of nonprofit private organizations."
