On the morning of Friday the 3rd, temperatures will drop below freezing and strong winds will make the perceived temperature even lower.
The morning low temperatures are expected to range from -12 to 0 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs from 1 to 7 degrees Celsius.
In northern Gyeonggi and inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, where a cold wave advisory has been issued, morning temperatures may fall below -10 degrees Celsius until the 4th.
Most of the country will be mostly clear, but the Chungnam region and Jeolla region will have cloudy skies, and Jeju Island will experience overcast weather.
A cold wave with temperatures dropping below minus 10 degrees Celsius hit Gwanghwamun Intersection in Jongno-gu, Seoul again, and the thick clothing of an office worker was fogged up on his glasses.
From late dawn, there is a possibility of light rain (less than 0.1 mm) or snow flurries (less than 0.1 cm) along the west coast of Jeollanam-do and Chungnam region, and from late afternoon to evening in inland Jeonbuk.
Expected snowfall amounts are around 1 cm for Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island, and less than 1 cm for the southern west coast of Chungnam. Expected precipitation amounts are around 1 mm for Jeju Island and less than 1 mm for the southern west coast of Chungnam.
With good atmospheric dispersion, fine dust levels nationwide are expected to remain at a 'good' level.
Sea waves are forecasted to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea and South Sea coastal waters. Offshore wave heights are expected to be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
