Children Express Gratitude to Flight Attendants in Letters
Flight Attendants Respond with Touching Replies
A story about a child who boarded a flight to Jeju after the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster and gifted flight attendants a letter and a bag of snacks has become a hot topic.
On the 1st, a post titled "On the way to my hometown Jeju with my two daughters" was uploaded on the social networking service (SNS) Thread. The author, Ms. A, said, "My daughters told their school friends that they were going to Jeju Island by plane, and then heard some unpleasant stories." She added, "My eldest daughter prepared a letter to give to the flight attendants without being shaken by those words," and "She wrote a message thanking them for taking care of us safely."
Ms. A and her daughters handed the pre-prepared letter and a bag of snacks to the flight attendants when boarding the plane. Then, the flight attendants came to their seats before takeoff with a gift package containing a reply letter and candies. Ms. A confessed, "The flight attendant’s eyes were teary when handing over the reply and gifts," and "I was choked up too, and I thought about how much more the flight attendants must have felt."
Ms. A also revealed the reply letter she received from the flight attendants. Written on a memo pad bearing the logo of a domestic low-cost carrier (LCC), the letter read, "Thank you for the gift from our young guest. Your beautiful heart truly moved the aunts and uncles. We will enjoy the snacks. This is a small gift from the aunts and uncles. We hope you have a happy trip with your family and that next year is filled only with joyful days." The letter included smiling faces and heart shapes scattered throughout, and at the end, a four-leaf clover symbolizing good luck was drawn as well.
