Gwangju and Jeonnam are forecasted to have mostly cloudy skies on the 3rd, with cold winds blowing, resulting in chilly weather.

Gwangju and Jeonnam will generally experience cloudy skies with cold weather due to chilly winds.

According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration on the 2nd, the region was mostly cloudy and relatively mild as it came under the influence of the edge of a high-pressure system moving southeast from northern China.

On the 3rd, most morning temperatures in Gwangju and Jeonnam will remain below freezing, with winds blowing strongly at an instantaneous speed of around 55 km/h (15 m/s).

The morning low temperatures are expected to be -4°C in Gokseong, -3°C in Jangseong, Damyang, Hampyeong, Naju, Hwasun, Yeongam, Boseong, and Gurye, -2°C in Yeonggwang, Muan, Jangheung, Shinan, Haenam, Goheung, and Suncheon, -1°C in Gwangju, Gangjin, and Gwangyang, 0°C in Mokpo, Wando, and Yeosu, and 1°C in Jindo.

The daytime high temperatures will be 6°C in Gwangyang, Gangjin, Haenam, Wando, and Goheung; 5°C in Suncheon, Naju, Shinan, Jangheung, Jindo, and Yeosu; and 4°C in Gwangju, Yeonggwang, Jangseong, Damyang, Gokseong, Gurye, Hwasun, Muan, Mokpo, Yeongam, and Boseong, which is lower than the previous day.

Waves on the sea will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea nearshore and 0.5 to 1 meter in the South Sea nearshore. Fine dust concentration in both Gwangju and Jeonnam will be at a 'moderate' level, and ultrafine dust concentration will also be at a 'moderate' level.

An official from the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration said, "Since strong winds are expected in most areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam, please pay attention to facility management and safety accidents."
