On this day, energy guardians were appointed for each department, and energy-saving promotion result reports were submitted and evaluated. Among the five centers, three departments with the highest scores were selected, and prize money of 500,000 KRW for 1st place, 300,000 KRW for 2nd place, and 200,000 KRW for 3rd place was awarded respectively.

The Advanced Medical Convergence Fiber Center, which won first place, analyzed quarterly energy consumption reports through self-diagnosis of energy consumption and continuous monitoring to establish energy-saving measures.

They also implemented campaigns such as selecting their own energy-saving slogan and posting posters, completing energy-saving related education, and the ‘Seul·E·Saeng (Wise Energy Saving Life)’ campaign as part of practicing energy conservation.

Other centers practiced energy saving through various methods such as minimizing idle operation of test equipment to reduce energy usage, managing heating and cooling temperatures, turning off unnecessary indoor lighting, and improving energy consumption methods by using reusable and recyclable products.

A Gyeongbuk TP official said, “We thank everyone who actively worked to voluntarily save energy and improve efficiency over the past year,” and added, “We will continue activities so that all employees can practice energy saving in the workplace.”

Gyeongbuk Technopark aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and held the first ‘Energy Saving Promotion Committee’ in July 2024. It is proactively responding by establishing measures for energy reduction, fostering a culture of energy saving, raising awareness about energy conservation, and spreading a culture of practice.
