Icheon-si Secures 10.7 Billion KRW in Last Year's Provincial Special Adjustment Grants

On the 2nd, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it secured 10.73 billion KRW in special adjustment grants from Gyeonggi Province last year.

Special adjustment grants are budgets distributed by metropolitan governments such as cities and provinces to basic local governments, considering urgent issues or unexpected financial demands such as disasters.


The total number of projects targeted by the special adjustment grants secured by the city last year is 16. By project, they include ▲ installation of traffic safety facilities (150 million KRW) ▲ heated pavement in front of Doye High School (300 million KRW) ▲ installation of protective walls in front of Sadong Middle School (300 million KRW) ▲ establishment of an IoT-based integrated safety and health management system in Icheon (770 million KRW) ▲ conversion of village water supply in Gyeongsa 2-ri (1.4 billion KRW) ▲ installation of non-point pollution reduction facilities in Jukdangcheon Stream (120 million KRW) ▲ creation of a barefoot walking path at Seongho Lake (450 million KRW) ▲ development of a ground golf course in Janghowon (500 million KRW) ▲ development of Seongho Lake as a tourist resource (3 billion KRW) ▲ expansion of Godam Bridge (260 million KRW) ▲ improvement of central drainage in Godam 2-dong (300 million KRW) ▲ maintenance of drainage at Sojeong-ri 144-1 (500 million KRW) ▲ maintenance of drainage in Namjeong-ri (380 million KRW) ▲ maintenance of drainage in Jukdang-ri (570 million KRW) ▲ maintenance of central drainage in Yangpyeong-ri (1.4 billion KRW) ▲ small-scale drainage improvement in Bupil District (330 million KRW).


Kim Kyung-hee, mayor of Icheon, said, "We were able to secure valuable resources to solve local issues through cooperation with local provincial assembly members such as Heo Won and Kim Il-jung," adding, "We will continue to do our best to secure funds so that projects necessary for citizens can be implemented in a timely manner."
