Korea Western Power marked the first working day of Eulsan year by engaging in activities to promote unity among employees, the labor union, and partner companies, instead of holding a traditional kick-off ceremony.
On the 2nd, at its headquarters in Taean, Chungnam, Western Power shared warm coffee and refreshments with employees arriving at work.
This act of sharing was carried out as part of CEO Lee Jeongbok's management policy of practicing "people-centered trust and co-prosperity energy."
CEO Lee Jeongbok, along with the management and the labor union, greeted each employee as they arrived, offering encouragement and reaffirming their resolutions for the new year.
Afterwards, the management and the labor union visited the offices of partner companies to extend New Year greetings and well wishes.
During this visit, the management and the union emphasized the importance of strengthening communication and continuing cooperation for sustainable co-growth.
Korea Western Power climbed to the summit of Baekhwasan in Taean, Chungnam on the 2nd to pledge a year of no accidents and no incidents in the Year of Eulsa. This year, Western Power delivered CEO Lee Jeongbok's New Year address via the company broadcast, instead of holding the usual kick-off ceremony.
CEO Lee Jeongbok stated, "I express my gratitude for the hard work of the Western Power family during the eventful past year," and encouraged, "As we enter this critical period of change, we need a sense of pride and a spirit of challenge that does not fear change, not only to fulfill our fundamental role of stable power supply but also for sustainable growth in the future."
He continued, "Let us greet 2025 with the mindset of 'Yesechui'?flexibly adapting to the flow of change in the world?and I wish everyone a year full of hope."
Meanwhile, on the same day, Western Power's management and labor union climbed to the summit of Baekhwasan Mountain near the headquarters, pledging for a year of zero accidents and safety in Eulsan year.
At this event, CEO Lee Jeongbok remarked, "The achievement of 'seven consecutive years of zero major accidents,' accomplished through everyone's efforts, is only the beginning," and urged, "Let us do our utmost this year to achieve zero accidents at all sites, so we can become a company trusted by the public."
