New Year Event '2025 Samyang NEW DAY CONNECT' Held

On the 2nd, Samyang Group held the '2025 Samyang New Day Connect' event at the Discovery Center in Pangyo, Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do to celebrate the New Year.
Samyang New Day Connect is an event that Samyang Group is holding instead of the traditional opening ceremony starting this year. Marking the start of a new 100 years, it was designed to break away from the somewhat rigid and formal format of the opening ceremony and to strengthen harmony and communication among employees.
The event proceeded with the presentation of the Chairman's Award and Special Merit Award, introduction of new executives, 'Say Samyang Communication Plaza,' and the CEO's message. It was broadcast live online for employees who had difficulty attending on-site, such as those at overseas and regional business sites.
In his New Year's message, Chairman Kim Yoon evaluated, "Last year, due to the continued difficult internal and external business environment, it seems challenging to achieve the planned results. However, there were encouraging outcomes such as improved profitability in global specialty businesses including advanced materials, semiconductors, and personal care, and the stabilization of the biodegradable suture factory in Hungary contributing to increased sales."
Chairman Kim continued, "This year, many difficulties are expected due to international economic uncertainties and domestic political instability, but I hope all employees will approach this with the determination to achieve our goals to make the first year of the new 100 years a successful one." He urged, "Please prioritize the three management policies that have been repeatedly emphasized over the years: ▲Advancing the business portfolio centered on global specialty ▲Cash flow-oriented management ▲Accelerating digital transformation in all tasks."
Chairman Kim emphasized the newly announced corporate mission in celebration of the 100th anniversary, saying, "'Awakening the potential of life. Changing the future of humanity' is a new aspiration and reason for existence that all Samyang employees must uphold." He added, "Please keep in mind that proposing a healthier and more convenient life through specialty and innovative solutions is exactly what awakening the potential of life and changing the future of humanity means, and put this into practice."
Finally, he concluded, "Potential is not something new but already exists, and we must strive to awaken the hidden potential within us with a broad perspective and persistent spirit of challenge." He said, "All of us, including myself and the executive team, must carry out the three management policies and internalize the corporate mission with the mindset of laying the cornerstone for the new 100-year history."
