About 100 members of veterans and patriotic organizations, including Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City, Shin Dong-hwa, Chairperson of the City Council, city council members, National Assembly member Yoon Ho-jung, Gyeonggi Province council members, Lee Seung-woo, Chairman of the Veterans and Patriotic Organizations Council, and Jeon Pyeong-jin, Chairman of the Bereaved Families of War Veterans Association, attended the ceremony to honor the spirit of the patriotic martyrs and national heroes and pledged to start the new year with a renewed spirit.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “We will always remember those who dedicated themselves to the country and strive to inherit the noble spirit of patriotism,” adding, “We will do our best to make Guri City stand tall as the nation's leading city for veterans' culture.”
