Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, referred to President Yoon Seok-yeol as the "leader of the rebellion Yoon Seok-yeol," stating, "(President Yoon) is inciting civil war as his arrest approaches," and criticized, "Right-wing forces continue to hold rallies in front of the presidential residence."
At the Democratic Party lawmakers' meeting held at the National Assembly on the afternoon of the 2nd, Floor Leader Park claimed, "There is a possibility of physical clashes triggered by (President Yoon's) arrest," and added, "This is a situation where vigilance cannot be relaxed even for a moment." He also issued a strong warning to the People Power Party, saying, "Immediately stop protecting the 'leader of the rebellion Yoon Seok-yeol'." He repeatedly emphasized that the emergency martial law incident on December 3 last year was an act of "rebellion."

Floor Leader Park directed the Presidential Security Service, saying, "The Security Service must cooperate with the lawful execution of the arrest warrant," and warned, "The moment they obstruct, they can be punished as accomplices to rebellion and for obstructing official duties." The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (PCA) issued an arrest warrant for President Yoon two days ago, but the Security Service stated the position that "the arrest warrant requested by the PCA, which does not have the authority to investigate rebellion charges, is illegal."
Floor Leader Park also urged that the appointment of the remaining Constitutional Court justice should be expedited, following the recent completion of the "eight-member system." On the day, he said, "Choi Sang-mok, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, must immediately appoint Ma Eun-hyuk as a candidate for Constitutional Court justice," and added, "The appointment of the Constitutional Court justice elected by the National Assembly is stipulated in the Constitution and laws." Previously, Acting Prime Minister Choi did not appoint candidate Ma, citing the lack of bipartisan agreement among the National Assembly's nominees for the Constitutional Court justice position.
