Simplification of Visa Issuance for Foreign Students
Certification for Both Degree and Language Training Programs
Gyeongnam Information University has been selected as an accredited university in the government-led Internationalization Education Quality Assurance System (IEQAS) evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Justice.
The Internationalization Education Quality Assurance System (IEQAS) is a program that certifies universities with high internationalization capabilities to expand the attraction of excellent foreign students and enhance the internationalization competencies of domestic students. It consists of two categories: degree programs and language training programs.
Gyeongnam Information University was selected as an accredited university for both degree and language training programs, granting various international education benefits such as simplified visa issuance processes for incoming foreign students.
Gyeongnam Information University is focusing its efforts on nurturing "settlement-type international students" to provide new driving forces for the Busan economy. It has established a one-stop system from Korean language education to degree acquisition, employment, and settlement support in connection with local companies, receiving high marks in this evaluation as well.
President Kim Tae-sang stated, "Foreign students who choose Gyeongnam Information University will be able to receive benefits in various procedures, including visa issuance," and added, "We will fulfill our role as a community college representing Busan by nurturing foreign students into excellent regionally tailored talents."
