Commissioner Kang also intends to support taxpayers' voluntary reporting and payment to the fullest extent this year. He said, "We will promptly implement the newly revamped year-end tax settlement service from the beginning of the year without any setbacks," and "We will also establish the intelligent Hometax system that provides only the necessary information according to the taxpayer's type and timing."
He emphasized the strict enforcement of tax audits and verification of reports such as improper deductions and exemptions. Commissioner Kang stated, "Considering the economic situation and manpower conditions, we will operate the number of audits flexibly, but even if we audit one case, we will conduct it properly and thoroughly," and "We will further enhance the reliability, transparency, and efficiency of regular and irregular tax audits."
