Jung Kwanghyun Inaugurated as Deputy Mayor of Suncheon City

"Full Commitment to Fostering Culture, Space, and Bio Industries"

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that the 20th Deputy Mayor, Jeong Kwanghyun, has taken office.

Deputy Mayor Jeong officially began his duties by greeting employees during the 2025 New Year's ceremony held in the main conference room at City Hall on this day.

In his inaugural address, Deputy Mayor Jeong stated, "I will devote all my efforts to addressing current issues, including fostering Suncheon City's core policies such as the cultural industry, space and defense industry, and bio industry," adding, "I will tackle each challenge one by one and draw a bright blueprint so that Suncheon can leap further and higher."

He also emphasized open communication with employees, saying, "There is no threshold to my office. I will be your closest friend and strongest supporter, so that you can fully blossom your capabilities."

Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor Jeong, who has extensive public service experience as Director of General Affairs, Chief Secretary, and Director of the Agriculture, Livestock and Food Bureau in Jeollanam-do, is expected to actively serve as a bridge connecting Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do, and the central government.
