Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyeong-deok) held a New Year's visit to the Memorial Tower on the 2nd to mark the beginning of work for the year 2025, the Year of Eulsa.

About 80 people attended the visit, including Mayor Park Hyeong-deok of Dongducheon, heads of veterans' organizations, National Assembly member Kim Seong-won, City Council Chairman Kim Seung-ho, provincial and city council members, and senior officials of Dongducheon City, who offered flowers and incense.
The attendees paid tribute and commemorated the noble patriotism of the patriotic martyrs and war heroes who sacrificed for the country. Additionally, a memorial was held to pray for the repose of the victims of Jeju Air.
Mayor Park Hyeong-deok of Dongducheon stated, “We will remember the dedication of the patriotic martyrs who gave their lives for the country and will strive even more to honor the national veterans who have devoted themselves to the nation and the people.”
