On the morning of the 2nd at 7:20 AM, Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, visited Mangwoo History and Culture Park to pay respects at the graves of the great figures resting in the park, honoring their legacy and marking the first official schedule of the new year 2025, the Year of the Eulsa.
Mayor Ryu visits Mangwoo History and Culture Park every year to commemorate the great figures and reaffirm his determination for the new year.
On this day, Mayor Ryu began with the joint grave of activist Yu Gwan-sun, then proceeded to the graves of Manhae Han Yong-un and Sopa Bang Jeong-hwan, paying tribute to their noble sacrifices and dedication through flower offerings and silent prayers.
Mayor Ryu stated, “It is meaningful to start the new year at Mangwoo History and Culture Park by honoring the great figures who devoted themselves to the country and the nation,” and added, “In 2025, I will do my best to raise the pride of Jungnang-gu residents and create a Jungnang-gu where everyone is happy.”
