The cosmetics industry is showing strength following news that exports surpassed $10 billion last year.
As of 11:55 AM on the 2nd, Silicon2 is trading at 20,940 won, up 5.20% compared to the previous trading day. In addition, Classys (8.08%), VT (2.75%), and Korea Kolmar (2.90%) are also rising together.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, cosmetics exports reached $10.2 billion last year, exceeding $10 billion for the first time. Eunjeong Park, a researcher at Hana Securities, stated, "Korean cosmetics exports hit an all-time high last year. This is due to the expansion of export regions and growth across categories," adding, "The global market share of K-Beauty is steadily expanding, and attention should be focused on won-dollar favorable stocks through the first half of the year."
