[New Year's Message] Park Sang-gyu, President of SK Inno: "The Business Environment Will Be Severe... We Must Create Real Merger Synergies"

Park Sang-kyu, President of SK Innovation, forecasted that the business environment this year will be severe and challenging, and on the 2nd, he emphasized the need to create substantial synergy from the previously conducted corporate merger.

In a New Year's message sent via email to SK Innovation affiliates on the same day, President Park said, "The management and members of the business subsidiaries (OC) and the company-internal independent companies (CIC) should unite as one to pool all capabilities and resources, overcome difficulties, and continue to create sustainable growth."

He stated, "The business environment this year will also be severe and challenging," and urged, "Even in a precarious situation, let us boldly move forward by leveraging SK Innovation's resilience." He continued, "Through the merger with SK E&S, SK Innovation has achieved structural innovation to lead the energy industry by building a balanced energy portfolio," and emphasized, "Let us pool our capabilities and resources to create substantial merger synergies and secure profitability and growth."

He also said, "By establishing the 'SUPEX 2030' vision, we will clarify the direction for SK Innovation affiliates and the focal point for all members to unite their efforts," adding, "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Transformation (DT) capabilities will be powerful tools to strengthen future competitiveness and create new business model innovations."

This year, the plan is to utilize AI and DT to pursue specific tasks such as ▲ business model innovation ▲ improvement of productivity and reliability ▲ establishment of an optimal decision-making system.

President Park stated, "Based on SKMS (SK Management System), we will make the company a better place to work," and urged, "I ask all members to strive to develop strong execution capabilities toward high goals through mutual respect, practical approach, empathy, as well as passion and the SUPEX spirit."

Furthermore, he added, "Let all of SK Innovation, as One Innovation, embrace proactive and resolute hope and firmly prepare the stepping stones for future leaps," and concluded, "Let us overcome the waves of change and create a new history."
