New 'Odyssey OLED' Model
'Odyssey 3D' Offering 3D Experience Without Glasses
37-inch Large Screen Monitor 'ViewFinity S8'
Samsung Electronics announced on the 2nd that it will unveil a large number of new 2025 model monitors at 'CES 2025,' the world's largest electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, from the 7th to the 10th (local time).
The new products include a total of five models: ▲ the 32-inch smart monitor M9 with significantly enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) features ▲ the industry's first 27-inch 4K 240Hz OLED 'Odyssey OLED G8' ▲ the first OLED monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate 'Odyssey OLED G6' ▲ the 'Odyssey 3D' providing glasses-free 3D experience ▲ and the large 37-inch high-resolution monitor 'ViewFinity S8.'
The 2025 model smart monitor M9 (M90SF) features a 32-inch size with a self-emissive OLED panel and enhanced AI capabilities. It supports the 'AI Picture Optimizer' function, which analyzes the PC-connected screen through on-device AI?the first time this technology has been embedded in a monitor?to provide optimal image quality tailored to the content. The 'AI Picture Optimizer' analyzes the PC signal input to the monitor, identifies content such as games, videos, or documents, and automatically adjusts to the best image quality. Notably, for games, the AI even identifies the genre to deliver genre-specific optimal image quality. It also supports '4K AI Upscaling Pro,' which uses deep learning to analyze input signals, resolution, and video quality to convert low-quality content into clear 4K high-definition images. The smart monitor M9 also features ▲ an OLED panel ▲ 4K resolution ▲ 165Hz high refresh rate ▲ a 4K built-in camera supporting video conferencing ▲ and 'Tizen OS Home,' which allows viewing of various OTT content and smart TV functions.
The 2025 model Odyssey OLED gaming monitors (G8, G6) incorporate the industry's top new gaming technologies. The Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF) is the industry's first 27-inch monitor supporting 4K (3840 x 2160) high resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. It delivers dense image quality with 165 PPI (Pixels per Inch) and 8 million pixels. The Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF) supports a 27-inch size with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution and is the first OLED monitor to support a high 500Hz refresh rate. Both models minimize screen tearing and provide smooth gaming experiences through 'VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 400' image quality technology, NVIDIA G-SYNC™ Compatible, and AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro technologies.
Samsung Electronics will also introduce the 27-inch gaming monitor 'Odyssey 3D (G90XF),' which provides a 3D experience without the need for dedicated 3D glasses. The 'Odyssey 3D' offers a stereoscopic 3D experience to users through a lenticular lens attached to the front of the panel and a front stereo camera. It supports not only simple 3D content but also a function that uses AI to convert 2D videos into immersive 3D images.
Samsung Electronics will unveil the industry's first 37-inch large display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, the 'ViewFinity S8.' The 37-inch 'ViewFinity S8 (S80UD)' supports 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution and has approximately 34% wider screen space compared to its predecessor, allowing users to view more information at a glance and providing optimal productivity in work environments. Additionally, the ViewFinity S8 received the 'Ergonomic Workspace Display' certification from the global certification body T?V Rheinland in Germany. It is recognized as a display that enhances work immersion and efficiency through ergonomic design. The ergonomic stand design allows ▲ free height adjustment (HAS) to match eye level ▲ tilt adjustment ▲ pivot rotation between landscape and portrait modes, and it is compatible with VESA standard wall mounts, enabling use without spatial constraints.
Jung Hoon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, said, "We will showcase a large number of new monitors equipped with industry-leading technologies such as AI, 4K, 500Hz, and 3D at CES 2025. We will continue to research display technology leadership and consumer usage environments to provide monitors that deliver the best user experience."
