Goyang-si Completes 2024 Small-Scale Multi-Family Housing Subsidy Support Project

Support for Residential Environment Improvement in Common Areas of 27 Small-Scale Multi-Family Housing Units

Gyeonggi Province Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 2nd that it has completed residential environment improvements for the common areas of 27 small-scale multi-family housing complexes by providing subsidies totaling 164 million KRW (including 19.2 million KRW from provincial funds) this year.

The city received subsidy project applications for small-scale multi-family housing in the first half of this year and ultimately selected 27 sites. Construction costs for rooftop common area maintenance and outdoor facility safety measures were supported up to 50% per complex, within a limit of 20 million KRW.

The city plans to announce and accept applications for the "2025 Small-Scale Multi-Family Housing Subsidy Support Project" from February to March next year. Complexes interested in the project can contact the Architecture Policy Division, Architecture Guidance Team of Goyang Special City.

The 2025 project support targets complexes that have passed more than 10 years since approval for use, and the construction must be for common areas of small-scale multi-family housing (such as row houses and multi-family houses) built according to Article 11 of the Building Act. However, overlapping support with the "Multi-Family Housing Management Subsidy Support Project" currently implemented by the Housing Division of Goyang Special City is not allowed.

An official from the Architecture Policy Division stated, "We will continue to strive to provide subsidies for safety and maintenance construction to small-scale multi-family housing complexes that have difficulties managing common areas, so that residents can enjoy a more pleasant living environment."
