December 27: Seoul Regional Headquarters Seongdong-gu Branch of the National Public Officials Labor Union and Management Jointly Sign Agreement to Establish a Healthy and Vibrant Organizational Culture Balancing Work and Life
Implementing 10 New Projects Including Shingles Vaccination Support, Winter Workwear Distribution, Company Car Insurance Deductible Support, and Expanded Group Insurance Coverage
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeong Wono) announced that it will promote 'Happy Management Season 4' to create a happy working environment based on communication and cooperation for mutual growth.
As part of efforts to establish a healthy and vibrant organizational culture that balances work and life, on December 27, the district held a joint labor-management promotion agreement ceremony for 'Happy Management Season 4' together with the Seongdong-gu branch of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korean Government Employees' Union.
Centered on expanding welfare and work environment improvement projects that employees can directly experience, the agreement includes ▲ creating a healthy and vibrant organizational culture through work-life balance ▲ continuously promoting happy management projects that all employees can equally enjoy ▲ enhancing employee satisfaction through diverse and fair welfare projects.
In particular, despite difficult financial conditions, labor and management identified 10 projects to foster employees' balanced work and life and a healthy and vibrant organizational culture.
First, support will be provided for shingles vaccination costs for employees' health management. Winter work uniforms will be distributed to all employees, the operation of the on-site store will resume, and support for congratulatory funds for children entering school will be expanded to enhance employee welfare.
Additionally, various projects to improve working conditions will be promoted, including support for self-payments on official vehicle insurance, payment of expenses during disaster safety allowances and event support work, expansion of group insurance coverage, and improvement of special leave operations.
Seongdong-gu was the first local government to declare 'Joint Labor-Management Happy Management' in January 2022 and implemented 10 projects in employee welfare and work environment improvement. Marking 2022 as the inaugural year of Happy Management, it signed the 'Happy Management Season 2 Joint Labor-Management Promotion Agreement' in 2023 and carried out 20 projects, and last year promoted 'Happy Management Season 3' with a total of 10 new projects.
This year, through the promotion of 'Happy Management Season 4,' it is expected to increase employee work satisfaction and thereby improve the quality of administrative services.
Jeong Wono, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, “We are promoting 'Happy Management' with the belief that employees' happiness leads to resident satisfaction, creating a better Seongdong.” He added, “We will continue to carefully listen to employees' concerns through ongoing communication and cooperation and improve working conditions to create a happy workplace culture.”
