Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has begun full-scale project implementation following the approval and announcement of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's 'Jungnang Startup Support Center Complex Project' plan on the 26th of last month.

The 'Jungnang Startup Support Center Complex Project' is a project to build a complex facility combining a startup support center, job-linked support housing, and resident convenience facilities in the area of 195-3, Sinnae-dong, in collaboration with SH Corporation. The project is scheduled to start construction in the second half of 2025 and aims for completion in 2028.

Through this project, a complex facility with a site area of 2,999㎡ and a total floor area of 16,419㎡, spanning from two basement levels to 12 floors above ground, will be constructed. The first and second floors above ground will house the startup support center and resident convenience facilities, while floors 3 to 12 will consist of a total of 141 job-linked support housing units designed for entrepreneurs to live and work.

The startup support center will include collaboration spaces (coworking spaces), communication spaces (networking rooms), meeting rooms, and other collaboration support areas, as well as startup support spaces such as a filming studio, editing room, and focus zones. Notably, on the first floor, alongside the startup support center, there will be living SOC facilities for local residents, aiming to simultaneously promote advanced industry development and resident convenience.

Since 2022, the district has established the 'Jungnang Startup Support Center' on the 6th floor of the SKV1 Knowledge Industry Center, striving to discover and nurture promising companies.

This complex project is expected to expand the startup support center, actively attract young entrepreneurs, and further strengthen regional economic growth and competitiveness.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, "Various efforts to develop the Sinnae IC area as a future economic growth hub for our district are now showing visible results," adding, "Upon completion, this project will greatly contribute to creating a startup ecosystem and enhancing regional competitiveness, alongside the nearby Knowledge Industry Center and the Sinnae 4 District Northern Arterial Road Grade Separation Project."
