In New Year's Address, Vows to Do Best to Improve Citizens' Quality of Life
On the 1st, Oh Seonghwan, Mayor of Dangjin, Chungnam, stated, "This year as well, I will continue to visit each town, township, and district, as well as key project sites, to listen to the voices of our citizens and fulfill my pledges by practicing hands-on administration."
In his 2025 New Year's address for the Eulsanyeon, Mayor Oh remarked, "Under the goal of 'citizen happiness and Dangjin's development,' the 8th popularly elected administration has already entered its latter half," and self-evaluated, "We have turned crises into opportunities and created a new upward trend, making Dangjin one of the fastest-developing cities in the country."
He emphasized, "Amid the nationwide crisis of local extinction, we have achieved the valuable outcome of population growth by focusing on active investment, attracting businesses, creating quality jobs, and improving settlement conditions."
Mayor Oh also promised, "We will lead the transition to a carbon-neutral society and strive to foster new industries for future growth," adding, "We will do our utmost to elevate Dangjin into a unique tourist city and enhance the quality of life for citizens through improvements in culture, welfare, and recreational spaces."
