On the morning of January 1st, the first day of the new year in the Eulsa year (乙巳年), Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam conducted visits to the National 3·15 Democracy Cemetery (located in Masanhwoe-gu) and the Changwon Memorial Tower (located in Seongsan-gu) for memorial ceremonies.
On this day, Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, along with senior officials, visited the National 3·15 Democracy Cemetery to lay flowers and observe a moment of silence, honoring the noble sacrifice of the martyrs of the March 15th Movement and reaffirming their determination to vigorously start city administration in 2025.
They then visited the Changwon Memorial Tower to pay tribute to the patriotic martyrs who gave their lives for the protection of the nation and prayed for the city's development and the well-being of its citizens.
Starting with these New Year memorial visits, the city plans to make 2025 a year of "leap and soaring as a central city of Northeast Asia," working even harder to bring about tangible changes that citizens can feel throughout the year.
