The recruitment period for cooperative instructors this year is until the 10th of this month, and considering the demand for instructors from schools, skilled professional instructors will be selected in a total of seven fields: future education, ecological environment, art, music, physical education, Korean language, and creative experience.

The detailed operation fields include ▲coding, drones ▲village exploration, ecological transition education ▲crafts, design, comic illustration, calligraphy ▲Korean traditional music, Nanta, children’s songs, ocarina, ukulele ▲broadcast dance, soccer, line dance, sport stacking ▲theater, storytelling ▲traditional games, board games, cup tapping, hand knitting, and more than 60 others.

Applicants for cooperative instructors must have a major or experience related to the recruitment field or hold relevant certifications, and must be able to participate in educational linkage projects such as mandatory workshops and capacity-building training operated by the district office. There is no regional restriction, but extra points are given to Yangcheon-gu residents. Those wishing to apply should refer to the announcement board on the district office website, fill out the application form, and submit it along with supporting documents via email to the person in charge.

Before full-scale activities begin, the district plans to conduct a preliminary workshop to cultivate basic qualities and strengthen the capabilities of the selected cooperative instructors.

Introduced in 2017, the cooperative instructor support project has greatly contributed to dispatching professional instructors in various subjects to schools, developing students’ creativity and artistry, and improving the quality of classes. It has also established itself as a new career development platform along with creating local jobs. So far, a total of 1,052 cooperative instructors have been selected, and about 420 have taught, providing customized lectures for each school.

Mayor Lee Gi-jae said, “The cooperative instructor support project is a meaningful initiative that enriches the public education curriculum with high-quality educational programs,” adding, “We will continue to discover and operate substantial educational programs that help develop our children’s infinite potential and creativity, supporting Yangcheon to become a city where the possibilities of future talents can blossom.”
