2% commission applied to delivery app franchise stores
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will issue 600 million KRW worth of ‘Yongsan Ttaenggyeoyo’ gift certificates to reduce the management burden on small business owners and revitalize the local economy.
The Yongsan Ttaenggyeoyo gift certificates are mobile-only vouchers usable on the public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo,’ launched to support small business owners burdened by the high fees of private delivery apps.
The district signed a business agreement with Shinhan Bank in 2023 to operate the public delivery app. Franchise stores registered on ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ benefit from a lower brokerage fee rate of 2% compared to the market, and consumers can purchase Yongsan Ttaenggyeoyo gift certificates at a 15% discount. There are 755 registered ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ franchise stores located in Yongsan-gu.
The Yongsan Ttaenggyeoyo gift certificates will be issued until November 2025, on the 1st of each month (or the next day if it is a holiday) at 10 a.m., and can be purchased through the ‘Seoul Pay Plus (SeoulPAY+)’ app. The purchase limit per person is 100,000 KRW, the holding limit is 1,000,000 KRW, and the validity period is one year from the date of purchase.
District Mayor Park Hee-young said, “We will continue to seek support measures, including promptly implementing existing support plans early in the year to stabilize the livelihood economy,” and added, “I hope the Yongsan Ttaenggyeoyo gift certificates will provide practical help to both small business owners and residents in this era of high inflation.”
Meanwhile, separately, the district plans to issue 10 billion KRW worth of Yongsan Sarang gift certificates and 5 billion KRW worth of Itaewon Commercial District Recovery gift certificates within this month. The Yongsan Sarang gift certificates can be purchased at a 5% discount, and the Itaewon Commercial District Recovery gift certificates at a 10% discount.
