The 'Triangular Pillars' Supporting Mayor Oh Se-hoon's Administration... Appointment of Kim Tae-kyun to Administration 1, Kim Seong-bo to Administration 2, and Jeong Sang-hoon to Policy Office

On the 31st, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon appointed Kim Tae-gyun, Director of the Planning Office, as Acting Administrative Deputy Mayor 1, and Kim Seong-bo, Director of the Disaster and Safety Office, as Acting Administrative Deputy Mayor 2 to support the second half of the city administration.

Additionally, Jeong Sang-hoon, Director of the Welfare Office, was appointed as Acting Director of the Planning Office.

All of these positions are national posts appointed by the President, and due to the current political situation, it is expected that the acting system will remain in place for the time being.

Notably, the appointments reflect regional balance with Kim Tae-gyun from Seoul as Administrative Deputy Mayor 1, Kim Seong-bo from Jeonnam as Administrative Deputy Mayor 2, and Jeong Sang-hoon from Gyeongbuk as Director of the Planning Office, drawing attention.

Kim Tae-gyun, Acting Administrative Deputy Mayor 1, was born in Seoul and graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Public Administration. He passed the 38th Administrative Examination and has held key positions in Seoul City such as Planning Officer, Policy Planning Officer, Administrative Director, Waterworks Headquarters Director, Spokesperson, Economic Policy Officer, and Director of the Planning Office, making him a seasoned planner.

Deputy Mayor Kim is recognized by his seniors for his outstanding work ability and has many juniors who follow him due to his rational approach to work.

Kim Seong-bo, Acting Administrative Deputy Mayor 2, hails from Gangjin, Jeonnam. After graduating from Gangjin High School and Seoul National University of Science and Technology with a degree in Architectural Engineering, he entered Seoul City through the Technical Examination and has served in major architectural positions, including Director of Urban Infrastructure Headquarters and Director of the Disaster and Safety Office.

Deputy Mayor Kim is known for his clear personality, which sometimes leads to misunderstandings, but he is recognized for his excellent execution skills.

Jeong Sang-hoon, the appointed Acting Director of the Planning Office, is from Yecheon, Gyeongbuk. After graduating from Korea National University of Education and passing the 3rd Local Government Examination, he served as Mayor of Geoyeo-dong, Songpa-gu, then joined Seoul City, holding key positions such as Blue House Administrative Officer, Media Officer, Chief Secretary, Administrative Director, and Director of the Welfare Office. He is a highly capable public official with strong execution skills and is especially loyal, having served as Mayor Oh’s personal secretary.

In this way, Mayor Oh appears to have placed high-performing senior officials from Seoul, Jeonnam, and Gyeongbuk in key positions, showing attention to both competence and regional balance.
