[Aircraft Crash] Gwangju and Jeonnam Branches of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union Express "Deep Condolences"

The Gwangju and Jeonnam branches of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union expressed their condolences to the victims and bereaved families of the Jeju Air disaster.


The Gwangju branch of the union stated on the 31st through a statement released the previous day, "We have received sad news," and added, "We express our deepest condolences for this unbelievable and tragic accident."

The Gwangju branch also said, "We extend our condolences to the educational community in Gwangju, including students, guardians, and staff, who are experiencing deep sorrow and pain due to this accident," and emphasized, "We will do our utmost in educational activities so that our society can be reborn as a safe society that values people and prioritizes the protection of life above all else."


The Jeonnam branch of the union also stated, "Due to the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster, we have suffered the heartbreaking loss of local residents, fellow staff, students, and a retired union member who was with us," and added, "We are overwhelmed with a sense of emptiness and profound loss, and offer our condolences."


They continued, "We extend our deepest sympathy to the bereaved families who have lost their beloved family members and precious people. We pray for the souls of the victims," adding, "The cause of this tragedy must be thoroughly investigated so that such an incident never happens again. We will remember the names of the victims and do our best to overcome this sorrow together."
