Violinist Lee Hyun-jung is currently a second-grade student at Yewon School. In September this year, at the age of 13, she won second place in the violin category at the George Enescu International Competition, sweeping the Audience Award and the Best Performance of the Compulsory Piece Award. The Mapo Cultural Foundation proposed the collaboration with violinist Lee Hyun-jung, leading to this stage. The Mapo Cultural Foundation selects M Artists, classical performers with the potential to grow into masters, every year and provides multiple performance opportunities, putting great effort into discovering the next generation of performers.

Lee Hyun-jung will perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto as a soloist.

Before Lee Hyun-jung's solo performance, Tchaikovsky's Polonaise from the opera Eugene Onegin will be performed as the opening piece.

In the second part, soprano Han Kyung-mi and baritone Yang Jun-mo will present popular opera arias and original songs by the Mapo Cultural Foundation. The program includes famous opera arias such as the Korean art songs "Gang Geonneo Bomi Odeut" and "Singosan Taryeong," "O mio babbino caro" from Puccini's opera Gianni Schicchi, and "Lippen schweigen" from Leh?r's operetta The Merry Widow. Additionally, the pure Korean language original songs "Gilbut" (composed by Lee Jin-wook) and "Yeoubyeot" (composed by Lee Jeong-bong), created by the Mapo Cultural Foundation in 2024 to commemorate Hangeul Day, will be performed for the first time with orchestral accompaniment and vocalists' voices.

Tickets for the 2025 New Year Concert are priced at 30,000 KRW for all seats. Detailed information about the performance can be found on the foundation's website.
