Farewell Ceremony at Seoul City Hall on the Afternoon of the 30th
Kim Sang-han, the First Deputy Mayor of Seoul, retired after more than 30 years of public service.
On the afternoon of the 30th, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon attended Kim's farewell ceremony held at City Hall and presented him with a plaque of appreciation. Kim, who passed the 37th Administrative Examination, began his career as a public official in Seoul in 1994 and held key positions such as Budget Officer, Director of Management Planning, Director of Welfare Policy, and Director of Planning and Coordination.

Mayor Oh said, "The deputy mayor's achievements, as Seoul's top administrator dedicated to the citizens, are engraved throughout the city," adding, "He greatly contributed to restoring the people's livelihood and concretizing Seoul's future vision alongside me."
Deputy Mayor Kim said, "It was an honor to participate as a leading figure in progressively transforming Seoul's landscape as a public official for a period spanning three changes of the natural environment," and added, "Regardless of what anyone says, I take pride in having served as a public official with distinction, and I always want to be remembered as a respected senior."
The First Deputy Mayor of Seoul is a vice-ministerial political appointee with presidential appointment authority. The appointment is made after the President's approval following Seoul City's recommendation.
