Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok appealed to People Power Party lawmaker Park Soo-young, saying, "I earnestly ask you to stop the low-level act of using a tragic passenger plane disaster as a tool for political strife."

On the 30th, Governor Kim raised his voice on his Facebook, saying, "How can you make such outrageous remarks about impeachment in the face of this tragic passenger plane disaster?"

He continued, "Right now, all the people are shedding sincere tears of mourning," and criticized, "If you come to the airport filled with the sorrowful tears of the bereaved families and the people, you would be too ashamed to even utter such reckless remarks."

Governor Kim emphasized, "Most of the victims were people who, after hardships, were turning a page in their lives and traveling with their loved ones," and "I earnestly ask you to stop the low-level act of using this devastating disaster as a tool for political strife with crocodile tears that mock the people."

Park, classified as pro-Yoon Seok-yeol faction, had claimed the opposition party's 'impeachment parade' caused a government vacuum through his Facebook the day before. Park pointed out, "When a social disaster occurs, the government forms a countermeasure headquarters to swiftly handle the accident. Usually, the Minister of the Interior and Safety serves as the head, but in large-scale cases like this, it is customary for the Prime Minister to take the lead."

He added, "Due to the opposition party's impeachment parade, currently, the government has neither a Prime Minister nor a Minister of the Interior and Safety," and emphasized, "Therefore, unless someone is indifferent to the collapse of the government, they would not even consider an impeachment parade."

Park expressed concern, saying, "I am really worried about the government vacuum caused by the opposition party's irresponsible impeachment parade," and urged, "Even amidst this unfortunate disaster, I want to ask whether the opposition party will carry out the impeachment parade as announced. Please stop thinking about Lee Jae-myung and think about the country. Please halt political strife until the accident is resolved."
