Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 30th that it received the Gyeonggi Province Governor's Commendation for Excellence in Public Property Management in 2024 on the 19th.
This commendation was awarded to encourage cities, counties, and outstanding individuals in the province who contributed to the efficient management and development of the public property (provincial property) system.
Namyangju City ranked 2nd with a total score of 117 in the comprehensive evaluation of eradicating illegal use and efficient management of public property among 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province. In particular, it ranked 1st among 13 cities and counties required to resolve more than 100 parcels.
Through proactive administration, Namyangju City resolved 186 illegally occupied parcels and organized 198 unmanaged properties, achieving results that exceeded the highest targets assigned within Gyeonggi Province, establishing itself as a model case in the field of public property management.
A Namyangju City official stated, "This commendation is a valuable result achieved through the cooperation of all members of Namyangju City," and added, "We will continue to build a transparent and efficient public property management system to establish a standard for public asset management trusted by citizens."
Meanwhile, Namyangju City plans to use this commendation as a stepping stone to promote continuous development in public property management and to do its best to enhance public value and improve citizens' welfare.
