Strengthening Tourism Content, Sports Marketing, and Public Healthcare

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam conducted its regular personnel reshuffle for the first half of 2025 (effective January 1, 2025).

The personnel changes include promotions of 4 people to grade 4, 5 people to grade 5, totaling 96 promotions and transfers of 280 people, 59 new appointments, and 241 organizational restructuring changes, amounting to approximately 760 personnel in total.

This regular personnel reshuffle focused on boosting employee morale and strengthening administrative capabilities by comprehensively considering career experience, job performance, job competency, and contribution to city administration, as well as placing personnel appropriately. It also aimed to enhance work efficiency through proactive responses to new administrative demands.

In particular, as the second half of the 8th elected term begins, fresh and capable talents were selected and strategically assigned to key positions to ensure smooth progress of major pledge projects, the Year of Yangsan Visit promotion, sports marketing, and strengthening the public healthcare system. To maintain continuity and expertise in core city administration projects, some transfers were postponed even if the transfer period had elapsed, aiming to promote the recovery of the livelihood economy and stable operation of the organization.

Additionally, transfers were made reflecting individual capabilities and concerns based on the duties of the respective positions, and vacancies were filled through new employee placements to alleviate the increased workload on staff, thereby enhancing organizational vitality.

Mayor Na Dong-yeon stated, “This personnel reshuffle focused on selecting and placing competent talents to ensure the smooth promotion of key priority projects and tasks. Moving forward, we will continue to concentrate on creating a happy Yangsan for all citizens by implementing fair and rational personnel policies centered on work and performance, boosting employee morale.”
