KOSHA Announces Application for 'Labor Provider Accident Injury Prevention Project'

From the 30th to January 17, 2025, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Receipt

The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Director An Jong-ju) will recruit organizations to participate in the ‘2025 Labor Provider Accident Prevention Project’ for three weeks from the 30th of this month to January 17th next year.

The ‘Labor Provider Accident Prevention Project’ is a newly launched initiative this year in response to the increasing need to prevent industrial accidents among labor providers.

This project supports part of the costs (budget: 400 million KRW) for safety and health activities carried out by associations related to labor providers, local governments, platform operators, and others.

Platform operators include 14 occupations specified in Article 67 of the Enforcement Decree of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, such as quick service workers, freight truck owners, and construction machinery operators.

When organizations submit plans for activities aimed at improving labor providers’ safety or raising safety awareness, appropriate activities will be selected considering the effectiveness of accident prevention and the scope of beneficiaries.

Safety improvement activities include motorcycle maintenance support, visibility enhancement, and protective gear support, while safety awareness activities include safety education, campaigns, and risk assessments.

The maximum support amount is 100 million KRW; local governments or non-profit organizations receive 100% of activity costs, while platform operators and other for-profit companies receive 50% support.

Associations wishing to participate can submit related documents to the headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency via email, mail, or in person.
