On the 26th, the Lotte Foundation held a publication ceremony for the biography "Shin Kyuk-ho's Dream, Shared Footsteps: Records of Lotte Group CEOs," which contains various anecdotes about Shin Kyuk-ho, the honorary chairman and founder of Lotte Group, at Lotte Hotel Seoul, the foundation announced on the 27th.

Sponsored by the Shin Kyuk-ho Leaders Forum and supported by the Lotte Foundation, this biography was written by former CEOs of Lotte affiliates who worked closely with Chairman Shin and contributed to the group's development.
The Lotte Foundation explained that the biography was compiled to leave Chairman Shin's management philosophy to future generations based on a humanistic reflection on his leadership, aiming to inspire the future of management philosophies that our companies should possess.
The biography was published in three languages, including Korean, English, and Japanese. The foundation stated that readers can explore Chairman Shin's management philosophy and leadership, represented by concepts such as "On-site Management" (Have you been there?), "Responsible Management" (Dandi Hara: Check More Thoroughly), and "Corporate Patriotism," along with his humanistic traits through various anecdotes.
Earlier, as a preliminary step for this biography, the Lotte Foundation held a writing contest in June for former Lotte Group executives titled "My Experience with Chairman Shin Kyuk-ho." They planned the publication by compiling over 50 pieces of writing collected through this contest.
Based on these manuscripts, the foundation actively utilized AI publishing technology through collaboration with the AI-based publishing company REPETO AI and enhanced the completeness of the biography. They restored Chairman Shin's black-and-white photos to color and created detailed illustrations depicting moments that had only existed in text. They also resolved issues related to shortening production time, improving quality, and legal reviews concerning copyrights.
The publication ceremony was attended by about 100 people, including Shin Young-ja, the eldest daughter of Chairman Shin and chairperson of the Lotte Foundation; Jang Hye-sun, granddaughter and chairperson of the Lotte Scholarship Foundation; Lee Dong-ho, former CEO of Lotte Hotel Busan; former executives of Lotte affiliates; and foundation officials, celebrating the publication and reminiscing about Chairman Shin.
Chairperson Jang said, "Grandfather was so humble that if he had seen this book, he might have said, 'Why did you do such a pointless thing?' but deep down, he would have been very pleased," adding, "I am grateful to the former Lotte Group executives who greatly helped complete this biography."
